Cognitive health comes now.
Original jigsaw puzzles. Varied ribbon cut and ultra-high resolution. A way to explore deliberate focus and reflective engagement.
When quality is done with comfort and elegance in mind.
We are highly selective in our choice of imagery. Each composition is evaluated for visual depth, gradient variation, and structural complexity — elements that directly influence the quality of engagement. The goal is not merely aesthetic appeal, but the creation of a balanced cognitive challenge.
Our jigsaw puzzles feature ultra-high resolution photography and custom, edition-specific artwork produced exclusively for Saneftec. This allows for exceptional clarity, and compositional integrity, with textures and features so fine they are rarely seen, let alone puzzled.
The result is an exceptional series that will deliver unforgettable puzzling experience to you and your loved ones. And the charming illustrations on the packaging will only enhance your time spent with the puzzle.
Fontaine du Serpent et du Lion — First Edition · Close-up of the puzzle
Deliberate, low-stimulus focus. Cognitively restorative.
Research in attentional science distinguishes between reactive attention — mobilised by notifications and variable reward schedules — and deliberate attention, which is self-directed, sustained, and cognitively restorative.
Puzzle assembly belongs to the latter category. It requires sustained visual discrimination, working memory, spatial reasoning, and fine motor integration — all without the dopamine-mediated reward loop of digital interaction.
Saneftec Puzzles are designed to support that kind of engagement. Not to gamify it. Not to accelerate it. To respect it.
Environments and activities requiring moderate, voluntary engagement — without urgency or competitive demand for attention — can replenish the capacity for directed focus that reactive stimulus environments deplete.
Attention Restoration Theory · proposed by Kaplan & Kaplan, 1989When puzzling, jigsaw pieces must be evaluated against image, colour field, and edge geometry simultaneously — keeping multiple variables in working memory across extended sessions.
Jigsaw puzzling holds attention in a calm, immersive way while giving the brain a break from stress-driven multitasking. The result is a focused yet restorative mental experience.
Assembling 1,000 pieces produces an intimacy with an image unavailable to any other viewing mode. You will know the depicted place or subject differently when you are done.
Long-term engagement with puzzles has been associated with stronger visuospatial cognitive performance in adults. Puzzling simultaneously challenges perception, memory, and executive function.
First Edition · Unforgettable experience
Printed at the limits of perception.
The First Edition artwork is prepared with ultra-high resolution imagery and high quality printing. On the puzzles, the individual brushstrokes and textural transitions, hairline cracks in the limestone, faded lettering on old posters, all remain visually distinct at close proximity.
We use heavyweight blue-core board with a matte, anti-reflective finish. A surface that looks good under a reading lamp and under overhead lighting.
Each puzzle design undergoes thorough prototype testing. Every element evaluated against a single criterion: does this serve the experience of assembly?

France on your bookshelf.
The chosen designs for our first edition — both featuring Grenoble — is not incidental.
The Fontaine du Serpent et du Lion is one of the city's oldest landmarks, and it is rich in architectural and texture details. On the other hand, the Pont Marius Gontard puzzle features daily Grenoble rendered in pastel and watercolor, a perfect company for an evening of contemplation.
We considered every element of the unboxing experience — because we want every moment you spend with the puzzles to be special. So both designs come in a sturdy canvas bag inside a display-worthy illustrated box.
